Electromagnetic Technology (EM)
is the most efficient way of locating underground facilities. We
use several models and several brands of EM locators, with
different frequencies, and capabilities according to the
specific type of utility to be located and its’ particular
situation.
Among the
benefits of locating with EM are:

- Reasonably accurate
- Fast
Among its
drawbacks are:
Only works with conductive
underground facilities as electric cables and metal pipes. Fiber
optic cables without tracer wire, PVC, Concrete and any other
non-conductive pipes cannot be located with this technology.
In some cases such as:
destructive interference coming from close by utilities, very
corroded pipes, lack of continuity on the system; this
technology may not work.
